Tehmi Sukhla
Tehmi Sukhla is an experienced mentor, fundraiser and grant writer.
Tehmi has held senior positions responsible for sponsorship, philanthropy, marketing and communications for internationally renowned arts and cultural institutions, including the Biennale of Sydney, the Australian Museum and the Australian Centre for Photography.
Tehmi has helped arts organisations, artists and scientists write successful grant proposals and applications. She has been a mentor on Creative Partnerships Australia’s Arts Fundraising Mentorship Program working with a mentee organisation to set fundraising goals, develop fundraising skills and methodology, and develop a fundraising strategy.
She has also been a grant assessor for the Plus 1 Matched Fundraising Program for Creative Partnerships Australia.
Tehmi has presented on fundraising, marketing and audience development in Australia and Europe.
She was selected to the Australia Council’s Emerging Leaders Development Program, the Museums Australia and Gordon Darling Foundation’s Museum Leadership Program and the Executive Mentoring Program, Council of Australasian Museum Directors.
Tehmi has volunteered in Mongolia as an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development, working with a small business incubator to provide training and guidance to start-ups in marketing and business development.
She has also worked as a management consultant for Accenture in the government practice area and as a freelance strategist and marketing and fundraising consultant for arts and cultural clients.
Tehmi has a BComm (Marketing and Accounting) and a BA Hons (Psychology) from the University of Sydney.
