Tell us about yourself.
Photographs are like notes for a writer. Seeing is questioning, landscapes are fleet- ing, and the unforeseen will never present itself again. I feel as an artist, I seek to ex- press through idealised forms and figures- a repetitive rhythm of an untapped demo- graphic revealing itself through stance and gesture.
What can the audience expect of your response to the theme?
‘You see, I’m here after all’ pays homage to memory: a visual diary that we all carry about with us. Sometimes things get slightly blurred, as if to elude detection and form a mantle of protection, sometimes lifting the corner of the veil then effacing it. It seeks to express what the subconscious mind has not yet organised and has strangely become a love letter over the years to those I have lost.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Creative, passionate and sensitive.
If you could say 1 thing to an ex lover, what would you say?
There is only movement.
